Hitachino Nest x Kissa Kissa, with B. United International
Kiuchi Brewery has been making sake in Ibaraki since 1823 — the same family house behind Hitachino Nest. For one night they take over the bar. Mike Dolan of B. United, Kiuchi’s importer, is in the room pouring and talking through what’s in the glass: Red Rice Ale, brewed with sake yeast, and Pirika on the beer side, a three-pour sake flight, and two cocktails Omer built on Kiuchi Umeshu and Mikibito.
The turntables stay in Japan all night — Toshiko Akiyoshi, Hideo Shiraki, Terumasa Hino, Sadao Watanabe, Takehiro Honda, Nobuo Hara’s Sharps & Flats and more, pulled from the shelves, open to close.
