Hours, Reservations & Access
We open Monday–Thursday at 5:30pm, Friday–Saturday at 5:00pm, and Sunday at 3:00pm. We don’t have a set closing time — we close when the evening winds down naturally. The bar top info says “Open late” because that’s genuinely true most nights.
Walk-ins are always welcome — we never turn anyone away at the door if there’s space. That said, Thursday through Saturday evenings tend to fill up, so we recommend booking ahead through our online reservation system for groups of up to six. It’s free and takes about thirty seconds.
No cover or minimum spend for regular reservations. We believe that the listening experience should be accessible to everyone, and that philosophy extends to how we think about the door.
Yes. Kissa Kissa is a ground-floor space with no steps at the entrance and fully accessible throughout. If you have any specific needs or questions before your visit, feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to make sure your experience is comfortable.
667 Franklin Avenue, Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11238. The easiest way to get here is the 2 or 3 train to Franklin Ave, or the 4 or 5. Street parking is available on Franklin and surrounding blocks.
Vinyl, Jazz & the Listening Experience
Jazz, exclusively — and always on vinyl, typically full albums. The programming moves through bebop, post-bop, Latin jazz, spiritual jazz, free jazz, and a lot that defies easy categorization. The curation changes a bit every night depending on who’s behind the turntable and what the room calls for.
We appreciate the enthusiasm, but song requests aren’t something we accommodate. Trust that the curation every evening is handled very intentionally — and that there’s a good reason for everything that gets played.
Present but not overwhelming. The music is meant to be listened to, not just heard in the background — but conversation is absolutely welcome. It’s a listening bar, not a concert hall. We want you to engage in full conversation without needing to raise your voice.
Kissa Kissa is not a live music venue. Although we frequently welcome jazz musicians into the space as guest curators, we don’t host performances. There are many spots we love in the neighborhood who do live jazz flawlessly — Cafe Ornithology, Sista’s Place, Friends and Lovers, Bar Bayeaux just to name a few — and we leave live jazz in their capable, caring hands.
The Menu
We serve a small but thoughtfully composed menu of small plates and desserts. We’re not a full restaurant — think of it as food that’s designed to complement an evening of listening rather than anchor it. The menu changes seasonally.
Our cocktails are globally inspired — built around interesting spirits, house-made ingredients, and flavors you won’t find in a typical bar program. We also carry a carefully considered and frequently changing selection of beer and wine, and a few proper zero-proof drinks made with the same care as everything else.
Yes — and they’re not an afterthought. We have a dedicated selection of zero-proof cocktails made with real ingredients and the same level of craft as our full cocktail program.
Large Groups & Private Events
Our self-serve online reservation system accommodates groups of up to six guests. For groups of seven or more, we offer two options: a semi-private experience or a full venue buyout. Both include food and beverage minimums. Learn more about group bookings →
Yes — full venue buyouts are available for private events. Kissa Kissa can be configured to handle groups of ~100 attendees and is available for birthday dinners, corporate events, listening parties, and more. See event options and pricing →
